The Story Behind Accu-Glide Shooting Sticks

NEVER take a shot until you are comfortable and setup in a good shooting position; it all comes down to wanting/needing a stable platform to assist shooting in the prone position. The wider the stance – the more stable it will be. Of course, stability wasn’t the only thing we were trying to achieve with this design. We wanted something that could easily be adjusted, up or down, in a matter of seconds, preferably, without having to get back up and readjust the spread and hope they were driven deeply into the ground, etc. With a single adjustment knob and friction-free Delrin washers, we’ve managed to come up with a set of sticks that are designed to be pounded into the ground during the non-timed relay change-over and then adjusted to the correct shooting height; and if you’re lucky enough to have longer arms, you can achieve all of this adjustment in your prone shooting position. If you’re shooting with a partner, odds are that you’ll set up these sticks and share them, even if both of you are used to different shooting heights, with about 18″ of travel, you’ll find a position that fits you perfectly.

Our shooting sticks feature the standard 2.5″ nails at each end and also feature tapered ends for those wet, muddy, super-soft ground days where just using the nails won’t give you enough of a stable platform. Remember, these sticks were designed to be driven deeper into the ground and then simply adjusted using the knob to the correct and comfortable shooting position.

V2 Update: In response to repeated requests, we have now lengthened our sticks to about 28″; this gives you more range and also allows an even wider stance.
